NARCAN®/Naloxone K9 Protection Kits
These lifesaving kits are designed to help protect working K9s who may be exposed to dangerous opioids such as heroin or fentanyl. In the event of accidental overdose, the kit provides immediate, on-scene intervention to support the dog’s survival and recovery.
Each kit includes:
• (2) Nasal Naloxone/NARCAN® doses (4 mg each)
• (1) Hard plastic NarCase
• (1) Belt holster
Eligible agencies include law enforcement departments and search and rescue teams that meet the criteria below. Agencies do not need to have previously received a vest from our organization to qualify for a donated kit.
Eligibility Requirements
To request kits, the following conditions must be met:
• K9(s) must be currently working in the United States with Law Enforcement or Search & Rescue
• K9(s) may not be scheduled for retirement
• Law enforcement K9 teams must be employed by an official agency
• Search & Rescue K9 teams must be active and have a current website or Facebook page
• Handler and K9 must be certified together as an active-duty team
• The submitted K9(s) must not already have issued NARCAN/Naloxone available
• Requests must be limited to one kit per active-duty K9, with a maximum of four kits per request
• Kits are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last
