Tim “Fitz” Fitzpatrick is a retired Naval Aviator with 24 years of service as an F-14 Tomcat strike-fighter RIO. He accumulated more than 2,500 flight hours, completed 80+ combat missions with over 500 arrested carrier landings. A Naval Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) graduate and Strike-Fighter Tactics Instructor (SFTI), Fitz led qualification and certification programs for naval aviators in both air-to-air and air-to-ground employment of the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet.
Throughout his fleet career he served as Carrier Air Wing Strike Lead, Air Interdiction Mission Commander, and Forward Air Controller – Airborne (FAC-A) instructor, positions in which he was responsible for mission planning, risk management, and the operational execution of complex strike and interdiction operations.
Following active service, Fitz transitioned to industry where he has spent 10+ years in business development focused on aviation readiness. His work centers on synthetic training solutions and digital transformation initiatives that inform and support Navy acquisition strategies.
Fitz holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Villanova University and applies his combined operational and training experience to advancing training systems and readiness for naval aviation.
